Poetry from an Octogenarian
Author’s anthology of poems speaks of life and living
Though he started writing poetry in his eighties, that didn’t stop him from penning down hundreds of poems about anything and everything that touched his mind, heart and soul. Author Keith Mack now shares all of these expressions to hopefully touch others and inspire them. After the Rain brings forth life’s colors through verses, rhymes, photographs and more.
This poetry book is the combined effort of a father and son. The father wrote the poems and the son produced the layout and pictures. The suggestion that the poems would benefit from pictures started an entire project which sent them down a path neither had experienced before. Their focus on life which, for years, was miles apart was unexpectedly, suddenly on common ground. Finding a common interest, they both could enjoy was not only a surprise, but an unexpected joy and bonding experience. Their hope is that the blessing they have received from this writing will be extended to all who read this book.
With over a hundred poems, divided into 12 sections, After the Rain hopes to be a beacon of inspiration and light as readers relate these poems to their own life and how they are living. These are expressions of appreciation, adversity, expectations, and more.
