Favourite verses:

If discouraged, having fallen short
Of great deeds on which we cling, Consider each tiny goal achieved
As a snowflake awaiting Spring

Life needs a time for picnics,
Our fun-filled life to abundantly bless,
But how we face disappointment
Is the true measure of success

Charity is the gift of loving,
Seeking the good in others to find. Criticizing is the curse of human, Forgiveness the blessing of divine

Crossing the threshold of time
Into the arena of God’s infinity,
We’ll carve previous suppositions
Into beautiful sculptures of reality

The war is now long over,
But the battle has not been won
If we forget the extreme sacrifice
These brave boys for us have done

So ponder the unseen angels as
Beautiful seabirds peruse the sky
Forcing traces of self-pity to fade
As through blue skies seagulls fly

Then she was gently touched
By the hand of an unknown friend Quietly Inviting her to meet Jesus,
His friendship of love to commend

Why not abandon life’s old normal Overfilled with fighting and hate, Replacing it with God’s different,
His steadfast love to reinstate

Let the lark sing in the meadow on
The bough of the sycamore tree,
And turn your eyes toward heaven Allowing God’s grace to set you free

The world is made of different
And the forest has many trees,
Accepting each other’s virtues
Allows differences to appease

So life with its existing trials,
And the unveiling of old age pain
Will be worth the wait at the station
For heaven’s midnight train
